Nasihah (Advice): Charity and maintaining ties of kinship

 

Sayyiduna Salmaan Bin Aamir Radhiyallahu Anhu reports that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “Giving charity to a poor person is charity, whilst (giving) to a relative is two things, charity and upholding the ties of kinship.” (Ibn Majah)

  1. It will not be permissible to partake of the meat of an animal one had taken a vow to slaughter. The meat of such an animal must be distributed amongst poor and needy Zakat recipients. (Binaayah 12/51)
