The Prophet (Salla-Allahu‘Alayhi wa Sallam) said:
“WHEN ALLAH INTENDS GOOD FOR HIS SLAVE, HE PUNISHES HIM IN THIS WORLD, BUT WHEN HE INTENDS AN EVIL FOR HIS SLAVE, HE DOES NOT HASTEN TO TAKE HIM TO TASK BUT CALLS HIM TO ACCOUNT ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.” Tirmidhi.
رسول صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: “There is no Muslim who is stricken with a calamity and says what Allah has enjoined – ‘Verily to Allah we belong and unto Him is our return. O Allah, reward me for my affliction and compensate me with something better’ – but Allah will compensate him with something better.”
Be sure, there is something waiting for you, after much patience- to astonish u to a degree that u forget the bitterness of the pain. Ali رضي الله ﺗﻌﺎﻟﯽٰعنه
نبي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: “How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him. If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.”
Allah says: ► Patiently, then persevere: for the Promise of Allah is true: and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning.
sura GHAFIR chapter 40 verse 55
Patience is of two kinds:
1st, Patience with trials and calamities;
2nd, Patiently avoiding that which Allah has prohibited.

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه ) narrates that Nabi صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said :
“Whoever tries to be patient , اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى blesses him with patience.
No person has been bestowed with anything better and more expensive than patience .”
REWARD FOR HE WHO SAYS.
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
”And give glad tidings to the patient. Who, when afflicted with calamity, say, ‘Truly, to Allah we belong and, truly, to Him we shall return.’” (Surah al-baqarah 155 -156)
It clearly states that if one is difficulty one should say :
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ inna Lilahi wa inna ilahi Raw ji ‘oon
Truly, to Allah we belong and, truly, to Him we shall return.’
If we do so we shall receive glad tidings from اللَّهُ سبحانه وتعالي جل جلاله !!
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه ) narrates that رسول صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said : “My ummah has been given something which other nations have not been given when calamity strikes : ‘inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un
Abu Musa (رضي الله عنه ) narrates that رسول صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said : “When a child of a person passes away , اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says to His angels : ‘Have you taken away the child of My servant ? They reply : ‘Yes.’ اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى asks: ‘ Have you taken away the fruit of his heart ?’ They reply : ‘Yes.’ اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى asks : ‘What did my servant say ? ‘ They reply : ‘He praised You and said : ‘inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji un.’ اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى says : Build a house in paradise for My servant and name it Bayt al-Hamd ( the house of praise).'”
[Tirmidhi] لحمد لله

“To be able to thank Allah for a blessing is a blessing within itself.”
Ibn Abi al-Dunya mentioned that Prophet Dawud (عليه السلام) asked Allah, “What is the least of Your blessings?” Allah اَللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى revealed to him, “O Dawud, take a breath.” Dawud did so, and Allah told him, “This is the least of My blessings on you.”

May Allah make patience and perseverance easy for us, may He not test us with a trial that is greater than what we can bear. We ask for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy.
