Takbiraat of Tashreeq

Nasihah (Advice): The fast of the day of Arafah (9th Zul Hijjah)

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said regarding the fast on the day of Arafah (9th Zul Hijjah): “It expiates the sins of the previous year and that of the following year.” (Sahih Muslim)

The 9th Zul Hijjah falls on Thursday, 25th October in South Africa

It is Wajib (compulsory) to recite aloud the Takbiraat of
Tashreeq (once only) after every Fardh Salaah, from the Fajr of
the 9th Zul-Hijjah (Thursday, 25 October 2012) to the Asar of
the 13th of Zul-Hijjah (Monday, 29 October 2012), performed
with Jamaat or individually.

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Laa illaaha illallaahu Wallaahu
Akbar. Allahu Akbar Walillaahil Hamd.

Translation: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There
is no deity besides Allah & Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the
Greatest & all praise belongs to Him.

NB. Females should recite the Takbeer silently.
