Understanding Shiasm – A Special Cii Muharram Lecture Series

Channel Islam International

Building on our highly successful Muharram 1433 lecture series on the biographies of the Sahabah, Cii today will be ushering in the new Islamic year 1434 with another series of informative Islamic lectures.

The carefully selected series this Muharram deals with the thorny issue of Shiasm and is to be presented by the respectable authority on the subject, Moulana Taha Karaan of the Western Cape.

The well researched series is highly relevant to contemporary developments in the Islamic world and will cover topics as diverse as the status of the Sahaba RA, the Khulafa ar Rashidoon and the Ahlul Bayt as well as the belief structures of Sunnis and Shias. The series will also explore the possibility of forming a lasting unity between the two groupings.
