Decorating One’s Business for Christmas

Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu reports that Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam said, ”Whoever imitates a nation is from among them.” (Sunan Abi Dawud)

1. Can Muslim businessmen decorate their shops with christmas trees, santa clause for business?

1. By decorating ones shop/business with christmas features (christmas trees, santa clause etc.), one will be adopting the salient features of Christianity. In doing so, there is a great fear of one losing his/her Imaan as Islam is averse to the beliefs and salient features of Christianity.

 

It is not permissible to decorate ones shop/business with christmas trees, santa clause etc. even for business purposes.
