The great Muslim mathematician al-Khuwarizmi was asked by his students to define the human being in terms of an equation.
This was his excellent answer:
If the human is one of good character,
then he = 1.
If the human is beautiful,
add a zero = 10.
If he can take care of himself financially,
add another zero = 100.
Aиϑ if he is of a noble background & lofty status, add another zero = 1000.
When the number 1 (good character) disappears, the value of the human being is LOST, & only zeros remain!
Our beloved Rasulullah sallallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“The most beloved slaves of Allah to Allah are those who have the best manners.”
“Through his manners & good conduct, the believer can attain the status of a person who frequently fasts & prays at night.”
“On the Day of Resurrection, nothing will be heavier in the scale (of good deeds) of the believer than good conduct. Allah hates the one who swears & hurls obscenities.”
(Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi)
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي.
Allahumma anta hasanta khalqi fahassin khuluqi.
O Allah, just as You have beautified my outward/physical appearance, then beautify my inward appearance (character) too.
( this is the sunnah dua to read when looking into the mirror)
اللهم إني أسألك خير هذا اليوم وخير ما بعده
Allahumma inni asalooka khayra hadhal yawma wa khayra maa ba’da
My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day & the good of what follows it.
