Masjid Ikraam, Scottsburgh, Kwa Zulu Natal

Scottburgh is a historic seaside town, south of Durban and a famous vacation destination for many.

Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah Ta’ala, Masjid Ikraam is the first Masjid in the area of Scottburgh, which is predominantly a “white area” as per the group areas act in the apartheid era. Within this small area of 23, 8 km², there are as many as 11 churches.

The Masjid is situated on a prime corner plot, on one of the main roads in Scottburgh and was opened in late October, 2019.

The resident Imaam is Moulana Zameer Nazeer Khan and the resident Muazzin is Shaikh Khalid.

The Masjid has a Hifz Madrasah and daily Madrasah/Maktab facilities which is overseen by the resident Imaam and a team of teachers, and is well attended by the children of the town and surrounding areas.

The Muslim community of Scottburgh has expanded to nearly triple its amount since the establishment of Allah’s house in the area.

May Allah Ta’ala protect this Masjid and every Masjid across the globe, Ameen.
