Nasihah (Advice): Virtue of Sajdah Tilaawah
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira Radiyallahu anhu reported that Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, “When the son of Adam recites a verse of prostration and he prostrates, Satan withdraws and he weeps and he says, ‘Woe to me! The son of Adam was commanded to prostrate and he prostrated, so he will go to Paradise. I was commanded to prostrate and I refused, so I will go to Hellfire.’” (Muslim)

Question and Answer
- I would like to enquire about what the method is to perform multiple SajdahTilaawats in one sitting. What is the procedure for this?
- The procedure of Sajdah Tilaawat is as follows:
- The person must be in the state of Wudhu.
- One will begin in the standing position and say: ‘Allahu Akbar’ without raising the hands and go straight down into Sajdah
iii. Read ‘Subhaana Rabbiyal A’ala’ three times
- Arise from Sajdah whilst saying: ‘Allahu Akbar’.
There is no Salaam upon arising and the Sajdah Tilaawah is now complete. Although it is better to begin and end this Sajdah from a standing position, it is also correct to commence and terminate it from the Tashahhud (sitting) position. [Maraaqil Falaah 498]
The above-mentioned method will be followed for multiple Sajdah Tilaawah by commencing the next Sajdah Tilaawat immediately upon arising from Sajdah whether from the standing position or sitting in the Tashahhud position. [Aap Ke Masaa’il Aur Unka Hal 4/232]
