PROJECT H.E.L.P – Addington Primary School

By the grace of Allah Ta’ala, the Jamiat KZN PROJECT H.E.L.P. relief team had the privilege to assist underprivileged learners at the Addington Primary School. The 120-year-old school, which is located in the Point area of Durban, caters for grades R to grade 5. A significant percentage of learners come from parents who have refugee status in South Africa.

Alhamdulillah, on Wednesday 24th May 2017, the Jamiat KZN PROJECT H.E.L.P. relief team in the hope of providing some nutrition to these children distributed over 300 fruit hampers. Along with this, over 1,000 new school shirts were also distributed.

Whilst coordinating their relief efforts with the school, the PROJECT H.E.L.P. relief team discovered many learners desperately in need of school shoes and assisted over 100 learners with new school shoes.

The team also assisted each of the poor workers at the school with a blanket and a fruit hamper.

The school runs a daily sandwich feeding scheme which we have undertaken to assist with 10 loaves of fresh bread daily.

May Allah Ta’ala use our humble efforts as a means of attracting them towards Imaan and Islam and may He accept the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.
