Project H.E.L.P – Uniform and Stationery Drive 2019 Report

Alhamdulillah, during December 2018 and January 2019, the Jamiatul Ulama KZN Project H.E.L.P Team and Jamiat Welfare Department embarked on its annual school uniform and stationery drive.

Approximately 150 needy and underprivileged pupils from various schools in the Durban and surrounding areas were given stationery packs and uniforms to help ensure they have the basic requirements to begin the school year.

Education is one of the tools with which children can help themselves to fight poverty and live a better life. The aim of these drives is to ensure that the necessary requirements are provided for children thus improving their chances for a successful schooling career.

The Jamiatul Ulama Project H.E.L.P will also be undertaking food drives at underprivileged schools to help provide for the nutritional needs of pupils, Insha-Allah.

Persons willing to volunteer or sponsor an underprivileged school are requested to contact Brother Bilal at the Jamiatul Ulama KZN office on  031 2077 099.
