This book is most unique for it contains an often-forgotten dimension from the multi-dimensional life of Muhammad Rasulullah (ﷺ). We know him as the final Prophet, the Final Messenger and a Mercy to the worlds, but how many know him as a teacher par excellence? The Qur’an refers to him as the teacher of the Book, and he himself said: “I have been sent as a teacher.”
In this book the learned author highlights this aspect from the life of Rasūlullāh (ﷺ) and expounds on the various teaching methods adopted by him in order to convey his message in a manner which had the greatest impact and impression on his audience, and was most effective in spurring them towards practice.
The effectiveness of his teaching methods can be gauged from the tremendous impact he head on his companions. He not only inspired confidence in them, but through his noble personality and teachings won over the hearts and minds of even his enemies and adversaries. His methods incorporated analogies, similes, anecdotes, diagrams, interactive dialogue, humour, repetition, continuous evaluation, physical contact, gestures and customisation, amongst others.
Though he was unlettered he could be called the perfect teacher.
