Shaahid – e – Qudrat

In the latter part of his life, Mufti Mahmood Hasan Gangohi (rahimahu Allah) underwent an eye operation in England. A few days after the operation, the doctor came to Mufti Saahib, showing him his two fingers and asking him if he was able to see it. After some dialogue with the doctor, Mufti Saahib said that a voice from the unseen asked him, “Have you seen me?”, to which he replied, “Yes, I have seen you.” The voice then asked, “Where have you seen me?” He responded to the voice of the the unseen with this poem, that I have seen you (O! Allah) in all these places.
