The Uthmani Khilafah is a golden chapter in the history of Islam. During its 600 years of rule, its sphere of influence covered three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. During its peak the land under its rule covered an area of 23 million square kilometers, stretching from Baghdad to Algeria and including Budapest and Crimea.
The Uthmani Khilafah not only created a balanced Islamic culture in Istanbul and Anatolia, but also made invaluable contributions to Muslim world as whole. It consolidated the Islamic lands by linking up all the major cities. Through its armies and policies, it defended Islam from the attacks of the Christian world, it protected the blessed lands from the Portuguese colonialists and rescued the Muslims from the Spanish Inquisition and made many other great contributions.
In this book, English-speaking readers are presented with a glimpse of various aspects of the Uthmani Khilafah. This brief work was compiled due to the scarcity of English material covering the Islamic dimension of the Khilafah. This books is by no means comprehensive due to the vastness of the topic.
