Who can eat Aqeeqah meat?

Q. Slm I would like to find out if ones make Aqeeqah for a new born. Eg 2 sheep or lamb for a new born baby boy. What happens to the meat. How must this be distributed can the parents and grandparents partake in eating this meat?(There may be grammatical and spelling errors in the above question. Questions are published as received)

A. It is permissible for everyone to partake of the Aqeeqah meat. The child’s parents, family, neighbours and friends may all partake, or it may be distributed. The meat of Aqeeqah cannot be sold.
