Tafseer of Surah Yaseen

Among the many Surahs of the Qur-aan Shareef, Surah Yaaseen holds a very high position. It was the desire of Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم that every one of his Ummatis memorise this blessed Surah. Many Ahaadith explain great virtues for this Surah.

Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم  described this Surah as “The Heart of the Qur-aan”. Muslims recite this Surah every morning and every evening to receive the barkat of this mubaarak Surah.

For several years Hadhrat Mufti Ebrahim Salejee Saahib (db) has been delivering lessons of Tafseer in the Isipingo Beach Jami Masjid. This little booklet is mainly a transcription of Hadhrat Mufti Saahib’s tafseer delivered in the Isipingo Beach Jami Masjid. It is hoped that if we try and understand the message of Surah Yaaseen, which is the heart of the Quraan Shareef,  Insha Allah we will to a certain extent also understand the message of the entire Qur-aan Shareef.
