Nasihah (Advice): The result in having greed for interest

 

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “There is no one who deals in usury a great deal (to increase his wealth) but he will end up with little (i.e., his wealth will be decreased).” (Ibn-e-Maajah)

  1. Q. Can I enter into an interest bearing transaction with the intention of distributing the interest in charity after the transaction is completed?

  1. It is not permissible to enter into an interest bearing transaction even with the intention of distributing the interest in charity to the poor and needy. Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam cursed the one who accepts interest and the one who pays it. (Muslim)
