Question and Answer:
- Is it permissible to wear stitched Hajj/Umrah Sandals in the Ihraam of Hajj and Umrah?
(Question published as received)
- The general restriction of wearing stitched clothing for males only in the state of Ihraam (Hajj and Umrah) does not apply to wearing stitched footwear in the state of Ihraam. Hence, it will be permissible to wear stitched footwear in the state of Ihraam.
In the case of a male, both ankles and cuneiform bones (protruding bones at the top of the feet) must be exposed, whilst there is no restriction for a female to expose any part of the feet in the state of Ihraam.
