Sayyiduna Sa’d ibn Ubadah Radhiyallahu Anhu reported: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, which charity is best?” Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam replied, “A drink of water.” (Sunan Nasai)
Alhamdulillah, on Wednesday 17 April 2019, the Jamiatul Ulama KZN Project H.E.L.P Team in continuation of its Operation Hydration visited the Department of Social Development in Phoenix. The Social Development building houses the SASSA, Department of Health and a Clinic under one roof.
The team were welcomed by Mr Govender, the Operations Manager, who was appreciative for the gesture of kindness to distribute water to those waiting in the long queues.
Approximately 400 bottles of refreshing water was distributed to patients and applicants at the various departments who were appreciative for the bottle of water, many of whom had travelled from surrounding areas like Verulam & Inanda.
We make Dua that Allah Ta’ala accepts this humble effort, especially the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.
We remind the Muslim community to continuously conserve and value every drop of water. May Allah Ta’ala alleviate the drought conditions affecting the various regions of South Africa and grant us beneficial rain.
