Our All-Compassionate Lord fashioned 3 things with His own Hand, not through a process of cause & effect, like everything else. These are His eternal masterpieces which mankind will never cease 2 admire. They are:
3. Taurah (Old Testament)
Jannah is a place beyond imagination or thought. Brief descriptions of it have reached us via the Qur’aan & Sunnah, but just like listening 2 the commentary of soccer giants Manchester & Liverpool over the radio cannot capture d spirit of the game, likewise experiencing the delights of Jannah cannot be felt without being physically there.
My aim of this article is 2 get the mouth of all my readers watering 4 this reality 2 come & 2 realise that making an effort towards Jannah is a worthwhile effort beyond any other effort. So, put on your 3D goggles & enjoy.
You have just passed over the bridge over Jahannam, a 1 500 year journey which has drained you mentally & physically, & have joined the excited crowd of people queuing 2 enter Jannah. Impatiently, u wait your turn. There are 8 doors of Jannah, each as wide as a 40-year journey, & named as follows:
2. Jihaad(striving in Allah’s way)
6. Kazimeen Al-Ghaiz Wal Aafeen(those who drank their Anger & Forgave)
7. Al-Ayman(Those of d Right-Hand, who will b saved from Reckoning due 2 their Reliance)
8. Dhikr(Remembrance of their Lord)
Upon which door do u think your name will be inscribed?
As u envy Abu Bakr(ra) 4 being called by all 8 doors of Jannah, your name is finally called from 1 door. U present yourself, like a small child waiting 4 candy floss from his teacher & meet Ridwaan, the most handsome & adorable angel, tasked with admitting people in 2 Jannah. With a huge smile, he gives u the ffg certificate: “Peace be upon u & congratulations. Enter herein 4ever & ever.” In this world, even the best-paid jobs & the best of mansions come with a time-limit. Here we have been assured of entering a place of eternal bliss, with no time limit, no feelings of insecurity & anxiety, & no fear of ever being expelled.
As u enter, guided by another angel, u are given your 1st meal b4 being shown your place. This is a meal of fish-liver & bread. The food & drink of Jannah only resemble d food & drink of this world in name, but in shape, form & taste, they r different. Each bite from the bananas, pomegranates, kajoor, olives, grapes & figs of Jannah will taste differently, & from each a different aroma will be emitted. A bunch of grapes will be equal to 12 arms, having a thornless stem of pure gold & silver. These fruits, as well as all foods, will be available @ any time. Their availability will not depend on seasons or production. There will also be no pits or peels 2 disturb u & no garbage cans around. In fact, there is no hunger in Jannah & u will never worry about punishing yourslf by dieting or weight-loss again! Rather, people will eat out of enjoyment & every meal will last up to 40 years! The food of Jannah does not have 2 be prepared or cooked, so our wives will not spend half their lives in the kitchen! The food does not rot, nor does it cause food-poisoning & nor is it transformed in2 waste in our bodies. Rather, the food will be expelled by fragrant burps & the drinks by means of sweet perspiration.
As u enjoy your 1st meal, u somehow notice that ur hands are different. YoU then realise that u have been given a flawless body, with no disabilities or sickness. YoU will not be visiting Dr George any time soon who gave his patient 6 months 2 live. After 6 months, his patient didn’t pay him, so he gave him another 6 months! U will also find yourslf 2 be as tall as Adam(as) @ 90 feet, as handsome as Yusuf(as) – but with no facial or body hair except a fine crop of hair on ur head, having d melodious voice of Dawood(as), d same age of Isa(as) @ 33 & d noble character of d Best of Creation, Muhammad (saw).
After a brief enquiry, u learn that Jannah has 100 stages, the lowest of which is Jannat-ul-Ma’wa, the middle of which is Jannat-ul Adan & the highest is Jannat-ul-Firdauws. Every stage can accommodate the entire mankind & d distance between each is d distance between d earth & d sky. D garden of d lowest ranking inmate will b 10 times d size of this world. Having satisfied yourslf with your initial meal, u are now taken – on a winged pearly-coated horse, – 2 your final abode. U will not worry of visas, airports, long queues & the exorbitant price of tickets anymore. U will then notice flashes of gentle lightning in d clear sky & will ask in wonder: “What are those lights?” “Don’t u know?” your usher will answer: “They are the anticipative smiles of your houris.”
Although this will b your 1st trip in Jannah, the road will seem familiar 2 you. As u travel, wondering which garden is urs, u will notice that d sand is not made up of dirt. It is pure saffron. D gravel is made of pearls & rubies & d buildings of transparent gold & silver. Even d richest man on earth could not have purchased a single brick of Jannah with all d money in d world! Those who think that paradise is an Alice in Wonderland fairy-tale have not even felt ½ % of d Grace of d Almighty. If u deny Jannah, then d only place 4 u in d Hereafter is Jahannam.
As u start developing an emotional connection 2 d ultimate source of true pleasure, u pass mountains made of pure musk. U notice rivers of pure milk whose source is not a diary cow, rivers of pure honey whose source is not a bee, rivers of unintoxicating wine whose source is not fruit & rivers of sparkling water. All these emanate directly from beneath d throne of d Almighty, Most Magnanimous. U may request a stop & drink from these refreshing springs, but u will be told: “Have patience, 4 u also own a few of these.”
When u finally reach your garden, u will c a most charming woman – a woman whose essence is of saffron – washing from a pure stream. She will have 70 sets of clothing upon her, but all will be delicate & weightless 2 d degree of transparency. She will b so beautiful that u will see d blood throbbing through her veins right through her ivory-like complexion. Further, u will c within her heart & witness d waves of love throbbing in it 4 u. They will never lose their virginity, will never experience monthlies, nor their timeless beauty. As u stand there stunned, she will b joined by many more – a minimum of 72. Each 1 of them will have separate grand pavilions alongside ur rivers.
Then d most gorgeous woman will arrive, the likes of which u will have never seen & u will 4get all those 72 houris & turn 2 her. She will be your earthly wife, surpassing d beauty of a million houris, returning 2 your arms. & why shouldn’t she be more beautiful 4 didn’t she engage herself in devotions in this world & she patiently tolerated her husband’s moods in this world? There, a single man will b granted the strength of a 100 men. He will adorn himself with lavish jewellery like crowns & bracelets. Women, on their part, will not b given a currency called dollars or pounds, nor a credit card with a measly R100 000- limit, but an unlimited currency called “Desire”. Whatever they desire, they will get … beautiful handbags, manicures, pedicures, fluffy kittens & even obedient husbands who will become just as she likes him 2 be in appearance & character. There will be no Hijaab in Jannah & also no lust. No one will fear extra-marital affairs or even contemplate evil.
An ordinary palace will b a huge pearl 60 meters tall, carved out from within, having 70 000 rooms & built in such a way that every room will b completely private. The silken couches will be elevated in an ultimate lazy boy – & hundreds of young lads will be there 2 serve u with thousands of glasses in their hand, each holding a different liquid & bringing whatever u desire @ a mere thought. No such remote control has ever been created in d world! All traces of jealousy, malice, envy & pride will b removed from everyone in these huge social gatherings. There will b no problems, anxiety, back-stabbing, break-ups, divorces or any kind of relational tension in this “Pearl of Peace” and the best part is that there is no waking-up in d morning 2 rush 2 work
