Can you name your child Jibreel?

Please can you tell me if it is permissible to name a child ‘jibreel’ and why this name is controversial? I have grown very fond of the name and believe it fits the narrative of names of previous children and am eager to keep it but worry people may make issue with it.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The Majority of the Scholars are of the opinion that it is permissible to name a person after an angel. The controversy is due to Imam Malik Rahmatullahi Alaihi’s view that it is makruh (disliked) to keep names of the angels.
