JAMIATUL ULAMA KZN DAILY Q&A
Nasihah (Advice): Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “When two Muslims meet and shake hands, their sins are forgiven before they separate” (Abu Dawood, Hadith #: 5214, Narrated by al-Bara)
NB. This applies to Mahrams and Muslims of the same gender. It is prohibited to shake the hands of a non-Mahram of the opposite gender.

Q. Salaams. My husband & I have 1 daughter, no other children. We now have a grandson. We would like to know if he inherits from our estate? Shukran.
(Query published as received)
A. The daughter’s son is not an heir to you (the maternal grandparents). Thus, he will not inherit from your estate. However, if you wish for him to benefit from your estate, you can make a bequest in favour of him as long as it does not exceed one third of your assets.
And Allah Knows Best
