Question:
The company that I am employed by provides a microwave to its employees to reheat foods whenever. The problem is that anyone and everyone used the microwave as such there could be possibly haraam foods being reheated in the microwave. My question is “IS IT PERMISSIBLE FOR ME TO REHEAT MY FOOD IN THe MICROWAVE WITH THE CONTAINER LID CLOSED AS NOTHING CAN GET INSIDE SO THE FOOD CANT GET CONTAMINATED”.
(Question published as received)
Answer:
Respected Brother/Sister in Islam
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh
If there is no contamination of non Halaal food by heating a container of Halaal food in a microwave, it would be permissible to consume the food heated in the microwave.
Hence, in the enquired situation, it would be permissible to consume the food heated in the microwave.
And Allah Knows Best.
