Nasihah (Advice): Give charity and seek forgiveness excessively
Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu reports that Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: “O womenfolk, you should give charity and seek forgiveness excessively, for I saw you (womenfolk) amongst the majority of the dwellers of the Hell-fire.” A wise lady among them asked: “Why is it, O Messenger of Allah, that we are the majority of the dwellers of the Hell-fire?” He said: “You curse excessively and you are ungrateful to your husbands…” (Sahih Muslim)

- Is Zakaat payable on sterling silver jewellery?

- A) Zakaat is payable on silver items/jewellery that have more than 50% silver content in them.
Accordingly, Zakaat is payable on sterling silver found in jewellery as the silver content is more than 50% (92.5% fine silver). (Hidaayah 1/102)
