On Wednesday night, May 04th 2016, at around 11:30pm a fire broke out at the Hoffman Place informal settlement in Springfield, which destroyed 40 shacks and left approximately 120 people homeless.
Alhamdo-Lillah, the Jamiat KZN PROJECT H.E.L.P. relief team were able to respond immediately and the next day assisted the affected residents with emergency relief aid.
By the Grace of Allah Ta’ala the PROJECT H.E.L.P. relief team assisted 40 families with food hampers and 150 blankets were distributed.
We make dua that Allah Ta’ala accepts this humble effort, especially the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.
May Allah Ta’ala also accept our local outreach efforts as a means of attracting the indigenous communities towards Islam, Aameen.
