Nasihah (Advice): Consider yourself a stranger and amongst the people of the grave
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar Radhiyallahu Anhu says that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam took hold of me and said: “‘O ‘Abdullah, be in this world like a stranger, or one who is passing through, and consider yourself as one of the people of the graves.’”(Ibn Majah)
Question and Answer:
Q. Can I marry my grandmothers (fathers side) sisters daughter, my fathers cousin?
(Question published as received)
A. Your father’s cousin (grandmother’s sister’s daughter) is considered to be a stranger (non- Mahram) to you. It is permissible for you to marry her. (Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah 11/268)
