Paulpietersburg Water Distribution – Jamiat KZN Project H.E.L.P

The Jamiat KZN Project H.E.L.P. relief team responded to an urgent appeal for water from the town of Paulpietersburg. This Northern KwaZulu-Natal town has been severely affected by the drought where rivers are barely shallow streams and taps have run dry because there is no constant running municipal water supply. People still queue up daily in orderly lines with their white buckets and yellow plastic containers to receive water supplied by municipal water tankers.

Alhamdulillah, on Wednesday 19th October 2016 25,000L of bottled spring water was dispatched to the town and distributed to schools, old age homes, the South African Police Department, local businesses and to residents of the Edumbe location just outside the town. The water was well received and much appreciated.

We wish to thank Moulana Ismail Mulla, a local businessman and aalim for his selfless efforts in facilitating and supervising the distribution. Special thanks also need to go out to the Woodford Group for arranging one of their superlink trucks to transport the water at no cost.

We make dua that Allah Ta’ala accepts this humble effort, especially the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.
