Alhamdulillah, on Saturday 25th May 2019, the Project H.E.L.P Team – as part of its Flood Relief – visited the informal area called Tshelimnyama which is situated near Marianhill. Being on a steep hill, many homes were washed away and damaged due to the severe nature of the floods.
The Tshelinyama Muslim community who hail from various parts of North Africa (Uganda, Malawi, and Tanzania) have established a small musallah appealed to the Jamiatul Ulama KZN for provisions for Iftaar and Suhoor.
The following items were distributed: Blankets, Water, Mealie Meal, Rice, Sugar, Teabags, Canned Beans, Long Life Milk & Cooking Oil.
The Jamiatul Ulama KZN has ongoing Projects in order to assist and uplift the under privileged. Listed below are a few items that can be contributed to this noteworthy cause:
Stationery Packs: R40.00 each
Bottled Water: R50.00 a case
Winter Blankets: R100.00 each
May Allah Ta’ala use our humble efforts to benefit those in need in this especially in this Mubarak month of Ramadan. May He also accept the efforts of the volunteers & donors and grant ease to all and those who are experiencing difficulties throughout the world.
