Alhamdullilah, by the Grace of Allah Ta’ala, the Jamiatul Ulama KZN has successfully undertaken relief work amongst deserving communities both locally and nationally. Its PROJECT H.E.L.P. initiative through the dedicated, generous and ongoing support of the Muslim community continues to benefit thousands of recipients from disadvantaged indigenous communities.
On Thursday 21st November 2019, the Project H.E.L.P Team visited Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital Paediatric Ward (IALCH) in response to an appeal froma sister who frequently visits the ward, to facilitate a distribution for the children and mothers. Most of these children do not receive family visits as they come from distant rural towns. Thus the Bring a Smile to A Child Toy Drive came into being, and Alhamdullilah the Muslim community’s contribution towards this project provided the means for its success.
The following items were distributed with the assistance of volunteers, to the children, mothers and nurses of IALCH Paediatric Ward:
- Plush Toys
- Hygiene Packs
- Kiddies Tables & Chairs
- Colouring Books
- Fresh Fruits
- Refreshing Bottled Water
May Allah Ta’ala use our humble efforts as a means of attracting them towards Islam, and grant shifa to all those who are ill or suffering. Aameen.
