Reading Islamic literature without Wudhu?

Q. I would like to know whether a person needs to be in the state of wudu when reading islamic literature (kitaabs) with quraanic ayaats in,quraanic ayaats be it in english translation and arabic

A. It is permissible to touch Islamic literature without Wudhu. However one cannot touch the Quraan without Wudhu. Similarly, one cannot touch the Arabic verse of the Quraan that is written in books/literature without Wudhu.

It is however best to read Islamic literature in the state of wudhu.
