Rohingya Project Update – April 2018

The Jamiatul Ulama KZN – South Africa third relief team went to Bangladesh in support of the Rohingya refugees who remain stranded in Bangladesh without hope of returning home.

Our team undertook food distribution to the Refugees in the camps and in the housing areas which have been built by the various NGOs including the Jamiatul Ulama KZN in partnership with the Polokwane Muslim Trust.

Alhamdulillah, the team distributed food aid and hygiene packs in 3 different Refugee Camps. Distribution was made at the Kutupalong Camp.

The team inspected and audited the delivery and standards of the various infrastructure efforts that have been undertaken, wells, ablution facilities, ghusal facilities, housing and medical /maternity facilities.

120 houses have been built, in addition to water wells, toilets, bathrooms and communal kitchens. These projects were completed jointly with the Polokwane Muslim Trust.

We take this opportunity to thank our generous donors for having made this possible, through the Grace and Mercy of Allah Ta’ala.

Jazakallahu khayran!

Your reward is with Allah Ta’ala.
