Unfortunately, over the last few years, the Muslim Ummah has been experiencing severe situations, one after the other, many of which have been brought about by persecution, war & oppression by fellow humans, as is the case of the Rohingya people by the Myanmar Oppressors.
Alhamdullilah, by the Grace of Allah Ta’ala, the Jamiatul Ulama KZN has undertaken relief work in many parts of the globe in its efforts to alleviate the plight of the Ummah & to continue our global support, the Jamiatul Ulama KZN embarked on an ongoing aid relief project in Bangladesh.
The first of the Jamiatul Ulama KZN’s International Relief teams to reach Bangladesh was led by Moulana Dawood Seedat Saheb on Thursday 12th October 2017. After much preparation, the following items were distributed in the various Rohingya refugee camps:
- Food hampers
- Clothing packs
- Mosquito nets
- Hygiene packs, etc.
One of the major problems facing these refugees is the lack sanitation and drinking water, which has led to the outbreak of diseases.
Insha-Allah the Jamiat KZN’s second international relief team will be departing shortly to Bangladesh to assist in providing suitable solutions for sanitation and drinking water.
Your continuous support in this noteworthy project will go a long way in alleviating the plight of the Ummah and will Inshallah, be a means of us gaining rewards in both worlds.
