Question and Answer:
Q. A Muslim family decides to go for a holiday to a resort or hotel and want to have a barbeque. The venue provides the braai (barbeque) stand and the grill. It is possible that the grill may have been used by non-Muslims who may have grilled Haraam meat that may have soiled the grill with Haraam or impure substances. Will it be permissible to use such a braai stand to grill ones meat?

A. If the grill was washed thoroughly and there remained no trace of Haraam meat or any Haraam or impure substance, it will be permissible to use the grill. (at- Tas-hih Wat Tarjih ala Mukhtasaril Quduri, Pg: 151)
