Leasing a property to a Micro Finance business

Question and Answer:

Q. We have a tenant who has applied to rent an office from us.

His sole business is in Micro Finance. ie. Small loans.

Would the rental income derived from such a tenant be halaal?

(Query published as received)

A.  No. It will not be permissible to lease your property to such a business as the major/sole functions are interest bearing transactions. The rental income will not be permissible.

And Allah Knows Best
