Albert Luthuli Hospital

The Jamiat KZN PROJECT H.EL.P. team in collaboration with its sister volunteers from Muslimah Charity Network Group visited the Oncology Department at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital in Durban on 19th December 2017.

Over 35 children undergoing chemotherapy were given goody bags containing chips, sweets, juice, bottled water, crayons, colouring books, activity sets, facecloths, etc.

The children accompanied by their mothers or grandmothers arrive daily from as early as 5:00am for blood tests before proceeding for their treatment.

The treats provided brought a smile to the children’s faces and although brief, some joy into their lives.
