Jamiatul Ulama KZN Council of Muslim Theologians
On Friday, 18 July 2014, a relief team departed from the Jamiat office to the ANC Moses Mabhida Region Office in Pietermaritzburg, after receiving a request from the ANC Midlands branch requesting aid for the orphanages and old age homes. The Jamiat assisted with 100 blankets and food hampers consisting of:
- Oil
- Teabags
- Sugar beans
- Baked beans
- Maize meal
- Pilchards, sardines
- Sugar
- Fruit
At the ANC office the team met with ANC counsellors and members of parliament and thereafter departed to the rural areas to begin the distribution at the Sweetwaters, Edendale and Imbali areas.
The members of the ANC and the local community were most appreciative for the food parcels thanked us profusely. May Allah Ta’ala accept our contribution towards those in need.
