Nasihah (Advice): Seclusion of man and woman

 

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “No person (man) should be alone with a woman except that there is a Mahram with her.” (Muslim)

  1. Can my mother’s sister’s husband be a mahram to us for Hajj or Umrah?

 

My mother’s sister and her husband will be travelling with us?

A. Your mother’s sister’s husband is considered to be non-Mahram (stranger) to you. (Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah)

 

It is not permissible to travel for Hajj or Umrah with him.
