Departmental Profile: Publications Dept.

Volunteers Required: The Jamiat KZN publishes posters on various pertinent topics on a monthly basis for Masjid Boards. Anyone who wishes to receive posters to print for their local Masjid board can email their details to publications@jamiat.org.za or contact Moulana Abdullah Paruk in the Publications Department on 031 2077 099.

The Publications Department sees to the various publications issued by the Jamiatul Ulama KZN. These include letters, correspondences and comments to governmental departments and media houses, brochures, timetables, calendars and publications of books etc.

Masjid Posters

Masjid posters providing relevant Islamic information / education to Masjid boards are produced on a monthly basis by the Publications Dept. Over the last ten months, almost 60 Posters were printed, Alhamdullilah.

Masjid posters cover a wide array of topics, current, contemporary and local/global appeals and fiqhi issues among other topics.

Daily Q&A Email / Naseeha Service

The Publications Dept. in conjunction with the Fatwa Department sends out important Nasihah, Q&As and Islamic information on a daily basis to thousands of recipients across the globe.

The Jamiat hosts a WhatsApp service for broadcasting Islamic advice, Q&As and important notices. Anyone wishing to subscribe to this service may send a message to +27 82 831 5085.


The Jamiat’s Twitter account has +7,500 followers who receive tweets from us the Jamiat  daily. Thus far the Jamiat has sent out +7000 Tweets on important and relevant issues.
