Durood Sharif in Salah

Nasihah (Advice): Sayyiduna Thaubaan (Radiyallahu Anhu) reports that the Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Do not cause harm to the servants of Allah and do not find fault in them nor should you search for faults in them. Whoever deliberately looks for faults in his fellow Muslim, Allah will expose his faults until he is disgraced in his own home.” (Musnad Ahmed)

Q. What is the procedure when the imaam makes salaam and I completed at tahiyaat but did not yet complete reciting durood?

A.You will make Salaam with the Imam. The Imam’s recitation of the Salaat and Salaam (durood) and the Dua before Salaam is sufficient for you. (Ahsanul Fatawa)

Nasihah (Advice): Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (Radiyallahu Anhu) reports that the Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever prays Salaah in congregation with the first Takbir (i.e. from the very commencement of the Salaah) he will be declared free from two things: free from the fire of hell and free from hypocrisy” (Tirmizi, Hadith #: 241)

The Hadith indicates that being particular about getting the Takbiratul Ula in congregation assists a person in self-reformation and distances him from actions that cause hypocrisy and lead to Jahannum.
