Nasihah (Advice): Be careful of where you obtain your Islamic knowledge:

It is a famous quote of Imam Abdullah bin Mubarak (Rahimahullah): “Isnaad (reliable transmission of Islamic content) is part of religion itself. Had there been no such concept, anyone would have said anything (regarding religion)” (Sahih Muslim, Chapter: Isnaad is part of religion)

Question and Answer:

Q. I have recently undergone an eye operation that needs me to put eye drops into my eyes every 2 hrs for couple months.

I am concerned as ramadhaan is approaching and I am worried about fasting as sometimes I can feel d medicine going down my throat.

What is d fatwa regarding fast and eye drops?

(Query published as received)

A. Eye drops do not invalidate the fast. You may continue using eye drops whilst fasting.
