To add meaning to the Day of Reconciliation, on 16th December 2017, the Jamiat KZN PROJECT H.E.L.P. relief team in collaboration with its sister volunteers from Muslimah Charity Network Group hosted a fun day at Mitchell Park for over 80 underprivileged children from the Puntans Hill informal settlement. The children were joyous and filled with great excitement on their way to the park.
By the grace of Allah Ta’ala, our sister volunteers had the privilege to show some love, attention and inspire hope in the lives of these disadvantaged children.
The day was filled with various fun activities, games and competitions with book prizes for the winners. After all the fun and activities the children were treated to a lunch of KiKis burgers, Romans Pizzas and ice-cream. Each child was given a t-shirt and a sports shoe bag filled with goodies such as chips, chocolates, biscuits, novelty sweets and toys. The children were extremely delighted with their gifts and the joy on the their faces was indescribable.
May Allah Ta’ala use our humble efforts as a means of attracting them towards Islam and may He accept the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.
