Nasihah (Advice): How should a menstruating woman perform her Hajj?
Sayyidah `Aisha Radiyallahu anha narrates, “We set out with the Prophet (ﷺ) for Hajj and when we reached Sarif I got my menses. When Rasulullah (ﷺ) came to me, I was weeping. He asked, “Why are you weeping?” I said, “I wish if I had not performed Hajj this year.” He asked, “May be that you got your menses?” I replied, “Yes.” He then said, “This is a thing which Allah has ordained for all the daughters of Adam. So do what all the pilgrims do except that you do not perform the Tawaf around the Ka`bah till you are clean.” (Bukhari)

Question and Answer
- What should a woman do if she experiences her Haidh (menses) during Hajj?
- A. A woman who experiences her menses during Hajj will continue with all the actions of Hajj besides Tawaaf-e-Ziyaarat and Tawaaf-e-Widaa.
Tawaaf-e-Ziyaarat is obligatory (Fard) and is done after the pelting on the 10th of Zul-Hijjah. A woman in menses will wait until her menses ends and thereafter perform Tawaaf-e-Ziyaarat even if it is performed after the 12th of Zul-Hijjah.
Tawaaf Ziyaarah must be performed before she departs from Makkah.
Tawaaf-e-Widaa is compulsory (Waajib) and must be performed by the non-residents of Makkah Mukarramah before returning home.
However, a woman in the state of menses is exempt from performing this Tawaaf if she is in the state of menses at the time of her departure from Makkah. (Muallimul-Hujjaaj)
