Nasihah (Advice): The Virtue of the Sunnah of Fajr
Sayyidah Aa’isha Radiyallahu Anha reported that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “The two Rakaats before Fajr Salaah are better than this world and all it contains.” [Ṣaḥih Muslim]

Question and Answer:
- If one misses the 2 Sunnah of Fajr and 4 Rakaats of Sunnah before Zhuhr due to joining the Jamaat (Congregation), can one make these Sunnah Salaah later?
- A. Yes, one is permitted to perform the pre-Sunnah of Fajr and Zuhr later on the same day they were missed.
As for the Sunan of Fajr Salaah, one may perform them between after sunrise (Ishraaq) and before Zawaal. One cannot perform the said Sunan after the Fardh of Fajr before sunrise. (Al-Muheetul Burhaani 1/388, Maj’ma-ul Anhur 1/211)
As for the four pre-Sunan of Zuhr Salaah, one may perform them after the Fardh Salaah in the time of Zuhr Salaah of the same day. (Tabyeen-ul-Haqq’iq 1/183)
