Project H.E.L.P – Cape Town Water Distribution

During the month of Ramadaan, The Western Cape experienced a severe drought. Dam levels had reached critically low levels which had rendered tap water undrinkable. The Jamiat KZN thus embarked on a project to provide purified bottled drinking water to various Masaajid in Cape Town at the time of Iftaar in the following areas; Belhar, Leonsdale, Pinelands, Kuilsriver, Goodwood, Bonteheuwel, Panorama, Netreg, Delft.

Alhamdulillah this initiative was greatly received by the Muslim community of Cape town. A total of 10 800 litres consisting of 21 600 bottles of 500ml water were sent for distribution. Alhamdulillah with the support and assistance of MJC of Cape Town, various Masaajid were identified for this project. May Allah reward those abundantly who assisted this project in any way. Ameen.
