Nasihah (Advice): The Most Beloved Deed to Allah Ta’ala
Sayyiduna Abdullah radiyallahu anhu narrated: “I asked Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, “Which deed is the dearest to Allah?” He replied, “To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times.” I asked, “What is the next (in goodness)?” He replied, “To be good and dutiful to your parents.” I again asked, “What is the next (in goodness)?” He replied, “To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah’s cause.” [Sahih Bukhari]

- I heard that it is recommended to read Surah Mulk at night before going to sleep. Can one read it just after the Maghrib prayer?
A: Surah Mulk can be recited anytime at night starting from after Maghrib to attain the virtue mentioned in the Hadith.
The Hadith regarding the virtue of reciting Surah Mulk at night is as follows:
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “Whosoever recites Tabaarakallazi (Surah Mulk) every night, it will be a means for his salvation from the punishment of the grave”. (Sunan Al Kubra – Nasaa’ee #10479)
