Vryheid Water Distribution – Jamiat KZN Project H.E.L.P

Alhamdulillah, the Jamiat KZN Project H.E.L.P. initiative conducted a water distribution in the rural areas of Vryheid on Saturday 6 August 2016.

The Jamiat KZN Project H.E.L.P. relief and volunteer team departed from Durban very early that Saturday morning.

The bottled drinking water was sourced from one of our Muslim suppliers in Ixopo and was transported to the distribution points by superlink trucks.

We were assisted by a group of 25 volunteers, the local Vryheid brothers as well a volunteer team from Darul Uloom Newcastle.

Alhamdulillah, over fifty thousand litres of bottled water was distributed within the rural communities.

The Vryheid community has been suffering severe drought conditions for many months and the community at large therefore sincerely appreciated the water that was distributed.

We wish to thank the Vryheid community who granted us their support, the many volunteers, with special mention and thanks to the Woodford team of volunteers, as well as the donors whose generous contributions made this distribution possible.

We make dua that Allah Ta’ala accepts this humble effort, especially the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.

We remind the Muslim community to continuously conserve and value every drop of water. May Allah Ta’ala alleviate the drought conditions affecting the various regions of South Africa and grant us beneficial rain. Aameen.
