Project H.E.L.P – Food Hamper & Blanket Distribution

By the grace of Allah Ta’ala, on Thursday 11th July 2019, the Jamiatul Ulama KZN Project H.E.L.P. team visited Shakaville, Kwa-Dukuza (Stanger). An appeal was made to the Jamiat by a concerned sister to assist the students of a Maktab.

This maktab has approximately 50 students aged from 6 years old to 17 years old.

The Apa who is in charge of the maktab has done astounding work in assisting poor Muslim children. Many of these children’s parents are not Muslim yet they enthusiastically attend the maktab regularly. During Ramadhan, the Apa provided them with Suhoor and Iftaar daily and even housed some of the students.

Alhamdullilah, fifty food Hampers and blankets were distributed as well as stationery packs. The children were overjoyed with the hampers and the parents called Apa to thank her. Bringing joy and comfort to another Muslim is truly priceless.

May Allah Ta’ala accept the efforts made by the Jamiatul Ulama KZN and its supportive volunteers and generous donors who make these projects successful.
