Nasihah (Advice): Make Wudhu regularly
Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wa sallam said, “My Ummah will be called on the Day of Resurrection with their limbs and faces shining from traces of Wudhu. So whoever amongst you can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing Wudhu regularly).” [Sahih Bukhari]

Question and Answer:
- Is there any benefit for a menstruating woman to make Wudhu whilst in the state of menstruation?
(Question published as received)
- The primary purpose of performing Wudhu is to gain cleanliness (Tahaarah) for the performance of Salaah and to perform other acts of worship.
Whilst a person in the state of major impurity (Janaabah) or a woman in the state of menstruation (Haidh) may not obtain complete cleanliness by making Wudhu, there is still encouragement to do so.
Sayyidatuna Aaisha Radhiyallahu Anha reports: “Whenever Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam intended to sleep after engaging in conjugal relations, he performed Wudhu like he would perform for Salaah before going to sleep.” (Sahih Muslim)
The Jurists (Fuqahaa) have stated: “When the Salaah times set in, it is preferable (Mustahab) for a menstruating woman to perform Wudhu and sit in the Salaah area of her house reciting “Tasbeeh” (Subhanallah) and “Tahleel” (La Ilaaha Illallah) for the time it takes her to usually perform Salaah.” (so as not to fall out of habit or become negligent towards performing Salaah).
