Nasihah (Advice): The Status of the Father:
Sayyiduna Abud Darda’ (Radiyallahu Anhu) reports that the Prophet of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “The father is the main door of Jannah. If you wish, deprive yourself of entry through it, or if you wish, secure your entry though it” (Tirmizi, Hadith #: 1900)

Q. I was reading my Sunnah Salaah and by mistake, in the second Rakaat I forgot to read surah fatihah and just read Surah Ikhlaas. Do I have to make Sajdah Sahw.

A. Yes. Sajdatus Sahw is necessary in the case of you omitting the recitation of Surah al-Fatihah in any Rak’ah of the Sunnah Salaah.
