PROJECT H.E.L.P. – CHATSWORTH HOSPICE ASSOCIATION

The Jamiat KZN PROJECT H.E.L.P. team in collaboration with its Skills Development Centre’s sister volunteers from Muslimah Charity Network Group visited the Chatsworth Hospice for terminally ill cancer patients on 29 November 2017.

The Chatsworth Hospice provides in-house care for cancer patients that are in 3rd stage of terminal illness.

They also provide home-based care through regular visits by doctors and nurses to people that are in 1st and 2nd stage of terminal illness.

All services are provided entirely free of charge as these patients cannot afford private medical care.

Over 70 hygiene and food hampers were distributed to not just the patients but to the support staff as well.

The team had the opportunity of meeting each of the patients who expressed their heartfelt gratitude and requested future visits.

The management and staff were most hospitable and accommodating and we look forward to networking with them in the near future.

May Allah Ta’ala use our humble efforts as a means of attracting them towards Islam and may He accept the contributions of our donors and the efforts of all involved, Aameen.
