Sheik Raed Salah’s Visit to Jamiatul Ulama (KZN)

Allhamdulillah, The Jamiatul Ulama (KZN) offices were graced by the visit of Sheik Ra’ed Salah on Friday, the 8th of Safar 1429/ 15th  of February 2008 at approximately 11:00am. He was accompanied by Sheik Waleed As Saadi, Moulana Ihsaan Hendricks and other local Ulama.

Ulama and staff of the Jamiat were addressed. In his brief address Sheik Ra’ed   expressed his gratitude to the South African Muslims for the warm and gracious hospitality that was extended to him on his visit. This gratitude was also expressed to The Jamiatul Ulama (KZN)  for affording him the honour of being with Ulama, who were best equipped with knowledge of the lofty status of Musjidul Aqsa.

Sheik Salah briefly enlightened the Ulama with the mission of liberating Musjidul Aqsa saying that he and his dedicated team are doing their best in sensitizing the Ummah of the threats that Musjidul Aqsa is currently facing. He called for an Ummah of solidarity and unity for only in this lies the strength and power of the Ummah. He further said that the case of Musjidul Aqsa is far older that many of us. It is our religious duty to protect and preserve this third  holy sanctuary of Islam and also leave behind a legacy that will ensure the perpetuation of this struggle as was the case of Hadrat Abdul Qaadir Jailaani Rahmatullaahi alaihi. He not only strove in the cause of the protection of Musjidul Aqsa but ensured that his students and disciples continued in his footsteps thus leaving behind a legacy of protecting Musjidul Aqsa.

In conclusion Sheik Salah once again expressed his joy at being with Ulama and said that we should remember that the struggle for the liberataion of Musjidul Aqsa  is not solely a Palestinian issue but it is an issue of the Ummah at large. Musjidul Aqsa should be occupying a place in the heart of every muslim and we should all put our shoulders to the wheel until Musjidul Aqsa is liberated from the clutches of its enemies.

The meeting concluded with a duaa by Sheik Salah .In his Duaa he begged Allah Ta’ala to create unity in the Ummah, to bless the belivers with success in the Dunya and Aakhiraa and for Allah Ta’ala’s help in the ongoing struggle for the liberation of Musjidul Aqsa.
